Your natural hair and your soft skin. – Kendrick Lamar, “Poetic Justice 3:2”
While being enrolled in KH 2220 (an Anatomy in Kinesiology & Health class) many many many many years ago…I do remember that the skin is the largest organ of the body. This is why being conscious of what products you use is important. Believe it or not, it’s more to using lotion or any other product than just to not be ashy. Products that you use will absorb into the skin. Part of self care is being comfortable in your own skin…Literally! You wouldn’t put regular gas in a luxury vehicle. Likewise, don’t just put any product on your skin. Certain ingredients can possibly cause irritation and strip you of all the goodies responsible for aiding in maintaining healthy skin.
Have you ever flipped a bottle of lotion over and after reading a few ingredients you thought that you might need to get an advanced degree just to understand what was listed? In the wise words of Ms. Sweet Brown, “Ain’t nobody got time for that!” No science class needed to understand our products. We’re going to help you be comfortable in your skin by providing products that compliment your natural hair and your soft skin.
All of our butters incorporate shea, mango and kokum butters along with a few carrier oils (grapeseed, apricot, avocado, and more) to provide essential nutrients, antioxidants and fatty acids to help your skin flourish and not dry you out. Now add in drinking plenty of water to also keep you hydrated and Bruce Leroy won’t be the only one with “The Glow.”

Make sure to head over to grab you the perfect body moisturizer from our shop.
